Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of MoneyMoves. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. The service

MoneyMoves is a read-only personal finance tracking tool for Australian users. It displays balances, transactions, budgets, tax estimates, goals, and illustrative projections based on information you provide and bank data you authorise.

MoneyMoves does not execute payments, transfer funds, trade securities, open bank accounts, or arrange financial products.

2. Not financial advice

MoneyMoves provides general information and automated calculations only. Nothing in the app — including Coach insights, Simulator scenarios, tax estimates, borrowing capacity figures, super projections, or AI chat responses — is personal financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to acquire or dispose of any product.

You should seek advice from a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or other qualified professional before making financial decisions. You are solely responsible for your decisions.

3. Accuracy of data

  • Bank data is supplied by your financial institution via Basiq and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect.
  • Manual entries and categorisations are your responsibility.
  • Tax, super, and borrowing figures are estimates only — not lodged returns or lender assessments.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed.

4. Your account

  • You must be 18+ and provide accurate registration information.
  • Keep your password confidential and notify us immediately of unauthorised access.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • One person per account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Premium subscription

  • Premium features (including bank linking and selected advanced tabs) require an active paid subscription billed through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew each billing period until you cancel in Stripe Customer Portal or by contacting support before renewal.
  • Prices are shown at checkout and may change with reasonable notice; existing subscribers are notified before a price change takes effect on renewal.
  • Fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or if you cancel mid-cycle. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (for example, where there is a major failure of the service).
  • Failed payments may suspend Premium access until resolved.

6. Bank connection (CDR)

When you link a bank, you authorise Basiq (as CDR representative) to access the account data you select, solely to display it in MoneyMoves. You can withdraw consent by disconnecting your bank. We access bank data read-only — we cannot move your money.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not use MoneyMoves for unlawful purposes, to misrepresent your identity, to scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or to interfere with other users.
  • Do not upload malware or content you do not have rights to use.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

MoneyMoves, its design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, MoneyMoves is provided "as is". We exclude all warranties not required by law. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the app, bank data errors, service interruptions, or financial decisions you make.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or, at our option, the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Termination

  • You may stop using MoneyMoves at any time.
  • We may terminate or suspend your account for breach, non-payment, or discontinuation of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
  • On termination, your right to use the app ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the service

We may modify, add, or remove features. Material changes to these Terms will be posted in-app or emailed; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
